KJo out & Punit Malhotra in for ‘Student of the Year 2’?

There have been many rumours surrounding the forthcoming sequel to ��Student of the Year�۪ (2012). While Karan Johar has been rightfully tight-lipped about the second instalment, BizAsia has learnt that it could be Punit Malhotra who directs the film.

Johar himself directed the 2012 film in which he launched Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. It�۪s being said that this new film will also be seeing the debuts of the cast but it�۪s yet to be seen who is officially signed for the film.

No doubt Malhotra, who directed ��I Hate Luv Storys�۪ (2010) for Dharma Productions, will ensure that the story is given an appealing treatment.
