KJo confirms Dharma to launch “strong” newcomers

Dharma Productions has been known to give cinema some of the best introductions from newcomers. Karan Johar has confirmed that the production house will be doing the same again but he wasn’t willing to give any hints.

There have been rumours surrounding Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan, Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Jhanvi and also Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan – all of who are apparently going to be launched by Johar. In a recent article in Filmfare, Johar chose to stay mum on the details, “Dharma Productions will launch three or four strong newcomers. I take a lot of care when I launch them. It�۪s not that I leave their hand after their first film. I hold on to them, I nurture them. So the children I don�۪t have biologically I have vis a vis my films. I worry about everything they do on a daily basis. I still talk to Varun, Sidharth and Alia every day. What they are doing, what they are feeling, what they are going to sign, what they should sign. So, whoever I launch, I will give 100 per cent of my time to them”.

Calling him his “god child”, Johar talks specifically about Aryan, “Aryan is young. He has four years of university left (reportedly Aryan�۪s attending the film school at the University of Southern California – USC). After that he�۪ll decide what he wants. Right now, one shouldn�۪t burden him with anything. I�۪ve told him that if he ever decides to do movies I have to be part of his launch. I�۪ll force myself into that because I love Aryan”.

‘Student of the Year 2’ is on its way and it remains to be seen which newbies are introduced with the film which will also star Tiger Shroff.
