KJo avoids clash with Shahid Kapoor at box office

A few days ago it was reported that Karan Johar had postponed the release of his next film ‘Ungli’ to clash with Shahid Kapoor at the box office – but now that rivalry has been averted.

Kapoor’s film ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ is set for release on Friday 20th September and rumour had it that ‘Ungli’ was going to be released on the same day. However, Johar has spoken out for the first time on the issue denying the clash.

Johar told Times Of India, “There have been too many stories in the past about Shahid and I having friction. Today, I want to go on record to say that we have no problems with each other. Yes, I have moved Ungli. I will announce the new date very soon. Shahid met me in this regard and I agreed. My dad used to say, ‘If you are a member of the industry and not for your fraternity, then you have no right to be here’.”
