Kismat Radio readies for mid-February launch

Sunrise Radio’s all new Asian talk radio station Kismat Radio will be going live later this month.

According to insiders at Kismat Radio, new state of the art studios are being built which will be complete next week for a launch week commencing on Monday 14th February.

Aimed at over-35s, Kismat will broadcast mostly speech programmes covering news, debate and discussion and a mix of popular forms of music including Asian gold and hits, folk music, Qawaalis, Ghazals and religious music.

Last year, Sunrise Radio acquired the adult contemporary station Easy Radio and later won the license to replace Easy Radio to an all talk Asian radio station. It is believed with the new station targeting an older audience, flagship station Sunrise Radio will be aimed at the younger generation.

Kismat Radio is currently carrying out live test signals on Sky Digital EPG 923 and in London on 1035AM.
