Sunrise Radio Group’s speech led station, Kismat Radio has ceased broadcasting in the Bradford and Huddersfield region.

The station simulcast it’s London output in those areas for the past few years but surprisingly was taken off from the multiplex.

It is not known why the abrupt decision has been taken but it’s the latest in a long line up of issues the group has been facing. Sunrise Radio, Kismat Radio and Punjabi Radio all ceased transmission on digital TV in March. Furthermore, Sunrise Radio and Punjabi Radio stopped broadcasting in the West Midlands.

Recently, the broadcaster started a new pledge to help fund the station through ‘Listeners Contributions’.
