“Humein Tumse Pyar Kitna” in the vocals of Kishore Kumar is one of those classic numbers that falls into the top ten category of Romantic Hindi songs ever. Featuring Rajesh Khanna and Hema Malini in Chetan Anand’s reincarnation drama, ‘Kudrat’ (1981), this classic will soon to be recreated as a modern love ballad.

Mumbai Mirror reports that the song is being recreated for an upcoming thriller directed by Lalit Mohan, featuring Karanvir Bohra and Priya Banerjee. The rythmic melody will be sung by 10 singers. “We know that we’ll be compared with the original, so we don’t intend to tweak it much. It is a reprised version but retains the essence of the original. I just hope we have lived up to the evergreen appeal of the original,” said Bohra.

Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Javed Ali and Palak Muchchal have been finalised for the singing line-up. The new lyrics have been witten by Shabbir Ahmed and the music has been composed by Raaj Ashoo. The song is planned to be shot in the near future with the beautiful flower valleys of Gantok and Sikkim as it’s backdrop.
