Kiku Sharda from ‘Comedy Nights’ booked for mimicking Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh

Television star, Kiku Sharda, also known as ‘Palak’ from ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ has been sent to a 14-day judicial custody for mimicking Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

According to reports, the complaint was filed against Sharda for hurting religious sentiments with his act on the show.

He was booked under section 295 A of the Indian Penal Code (outraging religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious belief). A team of Haryana police arrived in Mumbai with the complaint.

Sharda apologised in front of the media and said the act was done with no intent of hurting religious sentiments.
