Kiara Advani has reportedly been cast to play legendary actress Meena Kumari in the forthcoming biopic ‘Kamal Aur Meena’, directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra. The film will explore the complex and often turbulent relationship between Meena Kumari and her husband, filmmaker Kamal Amrohi, offering a poignant look into the life of the iconic star known as Bollywood’s “Tragedy Queen”.
Produced by Bilal Amrohi, the project is set to begin filming in the first half of 2026. According to sources, Kiara was chosen for her ability to embody vintage charm and emotional depth, qualities essential to portraying Meena Kumari’s layered persona.
