‘Khandaani Shafakhana’ ends up in legal bother

Sonakshi Sinha and Badshah’s upcoming film ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’ has landed in legal trouble after a Delhi based sexologist Vijay Abbot said that the film is mocking his profession.

Cineblitz reports that a single judge bench comprising of Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw steered Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited, doing business as T-Series, to screen the film for him. The court will hear the matter again on 29th July.

“No statements regarding the movie shall be made and no information about the film will be divulged to anyone. Prima facie is not satisfied with the contention. The trademark since 1st June 2001 hasn’t been used,” stated the court.

‘Khandaani Shafakhana’ releases on 2nd August 2019.
