Khalsa TV morphed into KTV ahead of launch

The UK’s latest Sikh religious and cultural channel, Khalsa TV has been morphed into simply, KTV.

The channel’s licence on Ofcom has also been changed accordingly. While, the licencee name remains ‘Khalsa Television Limited’, it will broadcast as KTV. Based in Birmingham, KTV will broadcast religious, as well as Punjabi family entertainment shows.

BizAsiaLive.com has also learnt that KTV will launch on the Sky EPG in December, with official shows starting in January.

KTV begun video testing off the Sky EPG on Friday. Tests can be viewed as below.

Tests of KTV on Sky can be viewed at the following parameters below:
-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup
-> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 11.553 (H), FEC: 5/6, SR: 22000 / DVB-S / QPSK
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “55105″ service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> “55105″ should be listed and available
