‘Khalnayak’ remake on the cards for Subhash Ghai

With more and more filmmakers revisiting older films, another remake being planned to be made is Subhash Ghai’s 1993 film ‘Khalnayak’.

Still in it’s very early stages, NDTV report the filmmaker explaining, “We are planning something on��’Khalnayak’. We are working on that. We have few directors on board and we will make the announcement soon. We don’t want to reveal much now.”

Starring Madhuri Dixit Nene,��Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt the original film proved a major hit at the box office, with many of the songs, including Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai, being favourites still today. Making it clear that he will be updating the film, Ghai goes onto add, “We are looking to present the story in a contemporary way.”

Here’s hoping Ghai knows exactly what he’s doing with this one.
