‘Kedarnath’ producer & director at loggerheads on release date?

It seems Sara Ali Khan’s debut film, ‘Kedarnath’ is already facing some troubles at this early stage. Saif Ali Khan’s daughter’s film is embroiled in a battle between its director and producer on its release date.

Director Abhishek Kapoor recently announced the film’s release date on social media and it will be clashing with Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled film with Aanand Rai. However producer Prernaa Arora was in talks with Khan on to ensure there would be no clash and was horrified when Kapoor announced the date. Arora believes to clash with a Khan is not a battle worth having as it will impact on the success of ‘Kedarnath, as reported in Mid-Day.

However Kapoor is adamant on releasing the film on the date announced and subsequently a stand-off between producer and director appears to be in place, with neither ready to back down at present.

Whether the argument continues or a compromise is reached remains to be seen.
