The programme that changed the fortunes of STAR Plus and the whole dimension of Indian television-Kaun Banega Crorepati is making a comeback in July, it has been confirmed.
According to press reports, Sameer Nair, STAR India’s Chief Operating Officer has already hinted that pre-production work on the show will begin next month. The new series will also be carrying a bigger prize, bigger than the one crore used in the last series.
The show’s host, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is contracted to the STAR show for 390 episodes, of which a majority were filmed and screened during the course of 2000 and 2002. The remaining 85 episodes will be shown later this year on the channel. The channel has also said that the contract can be changed with a possibility of further shows being added to the 85 contracted.
