‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 6’ to launch in September

The sixth season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ will be launching on Sony Entertainment Television Asia in September, BizAsia can confirm.

‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 6’ will once again air Friday – Sunday in the 20:30 band. Gaurav Seth, the senior vice-president and marketing head, told Business Standard, “We are extremely proud to have a property like KBC on the channel. The show has done wonders for us. It has changed prime-time viewing in India and having Mr Bachchan as the host just completes the package.”

Seth says, “KBC has always propagated the belief that knowledge reaps rewards. The essence of our communication has been to bring out a new relatable dimension to it. This year KBC will focus on the importance of learning at every stage of life, reiterated through situations faced by four professionals who stopped learning and the consequences.”

‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ will take the weekend slot from Friday 6th September, which will replace the current series of ‘Indian Idol Junior’.
