Katrina Kaif undeterred by Ranbir-Deepika “friendship”

Katrina Kaif has opted to remain silent on ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone rekindling their friendship.

Rumours of the two romancing each other during the shooting of Ayan Mukherjee’s new film ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ have got onlookers talking about a possible reunion, leaving Kaif out in the cold.

This is the first time Kapoor and Padukone are working together after their break-up in 2009. Padukone dated business tycoon Siddharth Mallya, which ended earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Kaif and Kapoor had a break-up after the latter was seen getting rather comfortable with his ‘Rockstar’ co-star Nargis Fakhri. Kaif meanwhile was back on talking terms with ex-lover Salman Khan and signed ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ with him. While she is busy completing that film, rumours of her insecurity surrounding Kapoor and Padukone have circulated.

A friend close to Kaif said, “This is typical of Ranbir. He tends to get very attached to his co-stars while shooting. During Rockstar he was so enamoured of Nargis Fakhri that he went around predicting to close friends that she would sweep all the awards. After the film`s release he lost interest in her. During Bachna Ae Haseeno he came close to Deepika. But then the inevitable happened.”

The friend added, “Katrina is in a very happy space now. She does not care about the mating and dating game anymore.”
