Katrina Kaif to be Tarun Mansukhani’s new ‘Desi Girl’?

Almost immediately following the release of ‘Dostana'(2008),��a buzz stirred over the possibility of a sequel, and the main question on everyone’s lips was which leading lady of Bollywood would succeed in bagging the role of the female protagonist.

‘Katrina Kaif’ was one of the first names to circulate through the grapevine and it appears the makers are now keen on seeing this one through, all the way to the big screen!

Kaif was spotted at filmmaker Karan Johar’s Mumbai office on Wednesday (16th March) to meet with ‘Dostana’ director, Tarun Mansukhani and BizAsia can’t help but wonder if it was to discuss ‘Dostana 2’. Although the film had been postponed due to major creative differences arising between Mansukhani and Johar regarding the script, it seems the two have since put their issues to rest and agreed on some common ground.

Whether this rendezvous between Kaif and Mansukhani was to do with the much-awaited sequel or some other exciting new project is yet to be seen.

For now, all BizAsia can say is ‘watch this space’!
