Katrina Kaif thanks Salman Khan on her birthday

Katrina Kaif is in a grateful mood as she celebrates her birthday.  The actress thanked Salman Khan and the entertainment industry for her success.

Kaif, who turns 34 years old today, was in a reflective mood recently in an interview with skjbollywoodnews.com.  She spoke about her hard work and dedication which included learning Hindi and kathak dancing to break into Bollywood.  However she also acknowledged Khan and his family’s support when she was new.  “Salman helped me a lot to find my bearings in  Mumbai. He guided me, helped me choose the right roles and to find my place in  Mumbai.  He was there for me constantly.  With Salman and his family around I never  felt alone in Mumbai” said the actress.

As well as Khan, Kaif also took the advice of Sajid Nadiadwala and David Dhawan, however was also quick to point out she has the intelligence to choose hit films too.

After having joined the industry in 2003, Kaif now feels she is part and parcel of Bollywood.  “The city has given me a lot, and I  today feel I am fully a  part of the Indian entertainment industry. I’ve done  films not only in Hindi but also in Telugu and Malayalam.  Is there a sense of satisfaction in what I’ve achieved? There is, there most certainly is” said Kaif.
