Katrina Kaif signed for Hindi remake of ‘Knight and Day’

Just a week ago, BizAsia reported that the remake of��Hollywood’s ‘Knight and Day’ (2010) was going to star Hrithik Roshan in Tom Cruise’s character. It has now emerged that the female lead has been confirmed as Katrina Kaif and she will render the role played by Cameron Diaz in the original.

The Hindi remake will, as expected, receive a whole new treatment according to an Indian audience and this includes some fresh twists in the original tale. Vivek Krishnani, Head of Distribution, Fox Star Studios, told PTI, “We are making that film in Hindi. I can’t talk much about the project as it is too early… We have signed Hrithik and Katrina for the Hindi remake of the film”.

Kaif and Roshan’s jodi was first seen on screen in 2011’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. Let’s see if they are able to recreate the same magic all over again.

The film is expected to go on the floors in 2013.
