Katrina Kaif or Deepika Padukone for Imtiaz Ali’s next?

It was first reported that actress Katrina Kaif would be starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali’s next film. When Kaif denied the rumours, news of Kapoor’s ex beau Deepika Padukone being signed have been doing the rounds.

After having recieved acclaim for their on-screen chemistry in their latest film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ (2013), it was no surprise that Padukone’s name was brought up for this film. However, according to Times of India,��reports say that Kaif is back in the picture. A source close to Kaif was reported stating, “She hasn’t signed the film as yet, but Kat will be doing Imtiaz’s film. Ranbir is keen on working with her as well.”

Though Ali was unavailable to comment, producer Sajid Nadiawala explained how nothing is official yet as “No one has been finalised.”

With reports of Kaif dating the actor, it seems to be the ultimate battle of the heroines.
