Katrina Kaif bags ‘Great Expectations’ remake

The critically acclaimed director of ‘Kai Po Che’ (2013), Abhishek Kapoor, is flying high these days. Whilst A-list stars are now on his wish-list, one hears that he has signed none other than Katrina Kaif for the female lead role in his forthcoming Hindi remake of ‘Great Expectations’.

After a meeting of four hours, it seems Kaif is very excited about working with Kapoor in such a project. Ekta Kapoor (Abhishek’s cousin) will be wearing the producer’s hat and it had been reported not so long ago that Sushant Singh Rajput was also going to be a part of the venture. A source told Times of India, “Abhishek��was going through a lean phase after��Rock On, but after the success of��Kai Po Che��things are looking good for him again. After all Katrina is one of the top stars”.

There has been no confirmation as yet from the Singh Rajput team but one can hope that earlier reports turn out to be true.
