Katrina-Akshay in ‘Ghajini’ director’s next

Just last month, BizAsia reported that Akshay Kumar had been approached for ��Ghajini�۪ (2008) director A R Murugadoss’ next ��� a remake of his own Tamil film ��Thupaki�۪ starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal, which is currently under production.

At the time, the lead actress in the Hindi version was yet to be finalised but according to Filmfare, word is that Katrina Kaif has bagged the coveted role. This will be Kaif�۪s eighth film with Kumar after ��Humko Deewana Kar Gaye�۪ (2006), ��Namastey London�۪ (2007), ��Welcome�۪ (2007), ��Singh is Kinng�۪ (2008), ��Blue�۪ (2009), ��De Dana Dan�۪ (2009), and ��Tees Maar Khan�۪ (2010) ��� of which four were major box office successes.

Apparently Kaif has already signed on the dotted line. What remains to be seen is whether the hit pair can recreate the success of some of their earlier films together.
