‘Karwaan’ director Akarsh Khurana praises Irrfan Khan

Director of the upcoming film ‘Karwaan’, Akarsh Khurana is all for actor Irrfan Khan.

Talking to Hindustan Times about his experience with working with Khan, Khurana said, “Irrfan is one of the finest actors in Bollywood. I was in awe for the first few days. But then I realized that he is very accessible and normal. He seemed to be happy with the way things were going, and before long, the crew got along rather well with him and vice versa”.

Khurana said that he liked the fact that Khan had a process and did his homework for the role. “He’s normal and chatty, and then when the cameras roll he transforms into this whole new persona, with a wide range of emotions. We had a ball of a time while shooting for the film and now that he is away for his treatment we all are missing him,” he added.

Khurana is currently promoting the ‘Karwaan’ and is reportedly missing Khan at the promotions as Khan is in London undergoing treatment for a neuroendocrine tumor. This will be the second film starring Khan after he revealed that he is suffering from a serious illness.

The film tells the story of three oddities who are from different walks of life, coming together on an unusual journey which helps them find normality in their lives. ‘Karwaan’ is slated to realise on the 3rd of August, 2018.
