Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband Sunjay Kapur’s mother suspects foul play in death
Rani Kapur, the mother of the late businessman Sunjay Kapur, who was formerly married to actress Karisma Kapoor, has raised serious concerns surrounding the circumstances of her son’s death.
According to media reports, Mrs Kapur has expressed deep frustration at the lack of transparency, stating she has yet to receive any substantive information regarding the incident. She further suggested that certain individuals may be attempting to manipulate the family legacy amid the tragedy.
In a letter seen by the press, she wrote, “On 12th June, my son, Mr Sunjay Kapur, tragically passed away under highly suspicious and unexplained circumstances in the United Kingdom. Despite numerous efforts, I have been unable to obtain answers regarding the circumstances of his death. The only information I have received has come from media sources, and despite my requests, no formal documentation or explanation has been provided. While we grieve, there are individuals attempting to usurp the family legacy.”

Mrs Kapur also disclosed distressing details about her treatment following her son’s passing, “During this period of mourning, I was approached on several occasions and pressured into signing multiple documents without explanation or the opportunity to read and comprehend them. Whilst experiencing immense emotional and mental distress, I was coerced into signing these papers behind closed doors. Although I have repeatedly requested access, the contents of these documents remain unknown to me.”
He was the chairperson of Sona Comstar and had a business empire of over Rs 31,000 crore.
