For quite some time now, there have been reports of clashes between actress Karisma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapur over their divorce. Well, the divorce seems to have taken an ugly turn as Kapoor has now filed a dowry harassment case against Sanjay, his mother Rani Surinder Kapur and Rani who manages the finances in the family.

According to Mumbai Mirror, a dowry harassment case was filed by Kapoor earlier this week with the Khar police. Following which she was called up a few days later and asked to record her statement. In her complaint, Kapoor mentioned that she was harassed by the Kapur’s for quite some time now.

As of now, an FIR under the dowry section ��� 498 (A): husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty ��� and Section 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered.

Kapoor and Kapur’s filed for divorce with mutual consent at the Bandra family court, however the Kapoor withdrew her consent saying the Kapur had failed to meet the financial commitments he made in the consent terms. After which they filed for fresh divorce applications which became too bitter as Kapur accused Kapoor of marrying him for money. Along with this, he said that she was using their children to demand alimony.

As of now, lawyers of Kapoor have asked for time to reply for the same. The next hearing in the case will take place on 3rd March.
