Kareena takes day off for sister Karisma’s 40th birthday

Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan have always been siblings that are close. News has it that the latter has asked for a day off from her film ‘Singham Returns’ in order to be able to ring in her sister’s birthday on Wednesday with her.

Karisma will be turning 40 and, on this occasion, it only seems right that her sister is there to be a part of the special celebrations. Kareena told India Today, “I requested (director) Rohit (Shetty) to give me a day off so that I could be in Mumbai to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Lolo is turning 40 tomorrow and I wanted to make it special by giving her a surprise”.

Karisma recently got divorced with husband Sanjay Kapur. The couple have two children.
