Kareena Kapoor to lose weight for Karan Johar’s next

Kareena Kapoor has been asked to lose weight for Karan Johar’s next film ‘Gori Tere Pyar Mein’, which also stars Imran Khan.

In her last appearance that she gave us in the item track ‘Fevicol Se’ in ‘Dabangg 2’ (2012), she was criticised by critics for her weight gain post marriage. Kapoor said, “It was the requirement of the song. I couldn’t have looked lean and toned as I was in ‘Halkat Jawani’ (her item song in ‘Heroine’) because the song ‘Fevicol’ is a desi number.”

Kapoor said for her forthcoming Johar film, she has a more stylish look hence the more trimmed look. She added, “Besides, there are five songs in the film, which require a lot of dancing. I will still be voluptuous, but the difference will be that my appearance will be more toned and fitter because I need to acquire such a look for my dance numbers.”

The film goes on the floors in March. It is directed by Punit Malhotra.
