Kareena Kapoor not in Dharma Productions’ next

Rumour had it that Kareena Kapoor was to play female lead in ‘Agneepath’ (2012) director, Karan Malhotra’s, next project under the Dharma Productions’ banner. However, Malhotra has confirmed that this is not the case.

Talking to PTI, the director said, “I am still scripting. My wife Ekta Pathak Malhotra and I��_ we both are writing the script. She is helping me with the story. All I can say is it is not a remake. It is very much an original film”. Malhotra revealed that an official announcement will be coming soon.

Malhotra went on to add, “I think in a month or two we should be done with the scripting. Then we will announce about the film and the star cast. The moment it is ready Karan Johar will be the first one to announce it”.

Malhotra created a splash with his debut project with the remake of 1990’s ‘Agneepath’. BizAsia are sure that audiences will be waiting for more on the project, details of which we will bring you in due course.
