Kareena Kapoor Khan’s role in ‘Takht’ revealed

Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’ has already proved to be a mammoth experience for him and all involved. With a number of delays having a major effect on the production, it seems there is little light at the end of the tunnel, where Kareena Kapoor Khan had recently revealed information about her role in the film.

Set to join the likes of Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Anil Kapoor to name a few, Box Office Worldwide reports the Kapoor Khan confirming, “I am playing Jahanara’s character in ‘Takht’. In the Mughal history Jahanara Begum was the most important woman in the court. She was actually the main reason as to why everything took place.”

“Us samay Shah Jahan ne har decision Jahanara se puch kar liya tha [At the time, Shah Jahan made all decisions after consulting with Jahanara]. I am very excited to play that part,” she went on to add.

Also starring Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor, Johar himself will be sitting in the director’s chair.
