Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is scheduled to head towards Kashmir to shoot for her upcoming flick ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in Kashmir, has shown her socially aware side by donating Rs. 5 lakh to the Kashmir flood victims for relief works in the valley.

The relief funds were set up in Jammu and Kashmir after the massive downpour in the state which eventually triggered huge storms in several districts in September 2014.

“Kareena will tour Kashmir by the end of April to finalize the shooting schedule of Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which also stars Salman Khan. She has been willing to do something for the flood victims ever since the disaster ended. So, finally she has decided to donate money to the flood relief funds,” a source told Absolute India.

“Not only this, the actress will also visit few relief camps to check the situation and to personally meet those who were destroyed by the natural disaster,” added the source.

This is going to be Kapoor Khan’s first ever visit to Kashmir for a film. She will be there until the beginning of May. The reports were confirmed by the actress’s spokesperson.
