Kareena Kapoor Khan: “The most important thing for a working mother is to believe in herself”

She has taken on motherhood completely in her stride, where her son Taimur Ali Khan is one of the most famous star babies within the industry. However strong Kareena Kapoor Khan may seem, she still struggles with the same thing all working mother’s deal with – leaving their child and going to work.

In a recent interview, Khan expressed how she felt, “I think the most important thing for a working mother is to believe in herself. Even when I leave in the morning, I am constantly worried about what Taimur would be doing at home. There is that looming guilt that is sometimes on your head.”

Always wanting to be a working woman, Khan went onto to talk about the influence a working mother has on her child. “I think your child will grow up realising, respecting and understanding a woman so much more that when she goes out to work and comes back home, she is still happy. Even though she could be tired, but she is still happy because she is doing what she loves the most,” she went on to add.

Kapoor Khan has been an inspiration to many, thought she didn’t work in films during the last couple of months of her pregnancy, she still remained professional, working on her endorsements.

She was then back to work not too long after Taimur was born, and it seems she’s doing a wonderful job in bringing him up, and sticking to her own working terms.
