Kareena Kapoor Khan talks about “dark” & “gritty” ‘Udta Punjab’

Kareena Kapoor Khan has spoken out about getting back to “dark films” with ‘Udta Punjab’, in which she stars with Diljit Dosanjh and also has Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leading cast.

Talking to PTI, Khan said, “It is very gritty, very real and the whole space is very dark. It is very exciting. I have done this kind of movies and getting back to that atmosphere is great. Udta Punjab’s world is totally different.”

‘Udta Punjab’ is based on substance abuse and the increasing rate of drug use in Punjab.

She is currently working in R Balki’s ‘Ki and Ka’ with Arjun Kapoor, Khan said, “He is one of my dearest friends. We have known each other for many years now. He just pulls my leg all the time on the sets and troubles me. The whole shoot is going very great and that is because our chemistry is so great.”
