Kareena Kapoor Khan reallocates ‘Shuddhi’ dates to Farhan Akhtar

Audiences and industry folk would have been excited about Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan coming together on screen once again in the forthcoming ‘Shuddhi’, produced by Karan Johar. However, Roshan’s ill-health has once again put his films on hold and now Kapoor Khan has had to reschedule her films.

Kapoor Khan had taken out 200 days for ‘Shuddhi’ but now that the film has been postponed, she has decided to give those days to Dev Benegal’s next opposite Farhan Akhtar. Says a source to Mumbai Mirror, “She appreciates Farhan’s work as an actor and director and saw Bhaag Milkha Bhaag thrice. She is going to spend January preparing for the role. This is Dev’s first commercial film and she wants to spend time with the director so that they are in sync with each other’s vision”.

Benegal is now speeding up the pre-production of the yet untitled film and it is expected to go on the floors in February as opposed to during the middle of March. It is being produced by Excel Entertainment and its first schedule will be shot in Mumbai before the second in Delhi.
