Kareena Kapoor Khan on her ‘K3G’ character being ahead of time

Karan Johar’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (K3G) (2001) is still a household classic 18 years after it was released. With a strong star cast, one particular character captured the attention of many – ‘Poo’ (Pooja) essayed by Kareena Kapoor Khan.

In a recent interview cited in Pinkvilla, Kapoor Khan was asked if ‘K3G’ (2001) was to be reprised, who did she think should play the role of the feisty ‘Poo’, to which the ‘Veere Di Wedding’ (2018) star replied without hesitation, no-one could; as it was a first to have such a character in a film, and who can forget the famous line “Tumhara koi haq nahi banta ki tume itni khoobsurat lago.”

The ‘Heroine’ (2012) actor also said that her character ‘Poo’ was way ahead of the times and no other actor would think of portraying someone like her. Kapoor Khan added that a lot of girls who came out of the cinema after watching ‘K3G’ (2001) wanted to be just like her, so this reaffirmed her belief that ‘Poo’ cannot be brought back to life.

Now, Kapoor Khan will be getting ready to work on her next film with Akshay Kumar ‘Good News’, reuniting after 10 years. The film also star Diljit Dosanjh. As well as this, Bebo will be teaming up with Johar again for ‘Takht’, which has an all star cast and includes names such as, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor.
