With her forthcoming project ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ currently on hold and Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’ to follow, Kareena Kapoor Khan has decided not to take on anymore work and spend time with her family during the lockdown period.
According to reports, the actress has refused to read any scripts or discuss any future big projects. “She has clearly said no to hearing new scripts. Perhaps, she is hearing some ideas from close friends, but she has not green lit any new project for the time being. ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ will take a substantial amount of time from her and then ‘Takht ‘will also make her very busy,” Asian Age reports a source expressing.
Directed by Advait Chandan and also starring Aamir Khan, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was in the midst of shooting when it had to come to an abrupt halt due to the COVID-19 lockdown. With both this and Johar’s production being big projects, Kapoor seems to be taking advantage of the time, where she may feel she might not be able to once the lockdown is lifted.
“She did have a decent enough response from her film Angrezi Medium, which came quickly on to the digital platform following the lockdown and her fans wanted to see more of her. However, she is certainly not in work mode at the moment,” the source added.
