Kareena Kapoor Khan: “I would like to try different things until I’m 70”

Her acting roles have spanned across a huge variety of roles, and now Kareena Kapoor Khan is taking on some more out of the box projects as well. After lending her voice for the Hindi version of ‘Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle’, she’s also getting behind the tedious mic with her own radio show called ‘What Women Want with Kareena Kapoor Khan’. With all of this going on, it seems the actress-turned-jockey wants to try it all.

“The idea today is only about content — and being a part of good content, whether it is the web, cinema, stage or radio,” New Indian Express reports Khan stating when asked about going into different creative ventures.

She went on to say, “I think today artists and actors are all about supporting content. I am just happy that I have got to try my hand… It’s the first time for me. So, lets see… I would like to try different things till probably I am 70.”

With many actors and actresses going the digital platform way with the likes of Amazon Prime and Netflix including her husband, Khan expressed how it’s all workingin the industry’s favour. “I am glad all this is opening up for us. The content in cinema and different platforms is changing. There are so many options to do what you want in today’s time and I think it’s the best time to be an actor,” she explained.

‘Mowgli: The Legend of the Jungle’ will see Khan voiced as the cunning Kaa. Talking about her character, the actress expressed, “She (Kaa) is quite a seductress. Dubbing for it was quite unique… She had to sound hypnotic… I have not played a character like that. In most of the movies, you have seen me playing a girl-next-door or a homemaker, but to play this seductress of the jungle was super fun.”
