Kareena Kapoor Khan confirms ‘Shuddhi’ not happening
Over the past few months, there has been endless speculation about Karan Johar’s ambitious project ‘Shuddhi’ and now Kareena Kapoor Khan has confirmed that the film has been shelved.
After lead actor Hrithik Roshan left the project due to health issues, Khan followed. Their replacements Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were lured away by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his own huge film ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
Talking to reporters, Khan is quoted by Times Of India saying, “Will Salman be part of ‘Shuddhi’? It is all created by you all (media). ‘Shuddhi’ is shelved. Karan is working on ‘The Warrior’ remake I think with Siddharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar… this is what Karan said. It (shooting) will start in August.”
So with Johar shifting loyalties to ‘The Warrior’, it is unlikely ‘Shuddhi’ will go on the floors.
