Kareena Kapoor Khan chooses Karva Chauth over film promotions

Kareena Kapoor Khan and hubby Saif are celebrating their first wedding anniversary today. It is quite a coincidence that, on this day, comes the news that the actress will be cutting short promotions of her upcoming movie ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ to be a part of Karva Chauth celebrations.

News has it that Kapoor Khan has told her team that she will only be available for a few hours on 22nd October after which she will be returning home to join in with rituals and traditions of the Khan household.

Kapoor Khan is the newest in a line of actresses who request fewer hours on the day of Karva Chauth in which they fast for their husbands. Hema Malini, Sridevi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kajol are also planning special celebrations this year.
