Kareena Kapoor Khan to bag ‘Salute’ opposite SRK?

After Shah Rukh Khan stepped into Aamir Khan’s shoes for Rakesh Sharma biopic ‘Salute’, it appears that Kareena Kapoor Khan could bag the female lead.

Priyanka Chopra did admit that she had been approached for the film when Aamir was the male lead. Once he’d moved on, the casting wasn’t confirmed. As such, it seems makers have also moved on and looked beyond Chopra for the role of Sharma’s wife. If Kapoor Khan does sign on the dotted line, she’ll be coming together with Shah Rukh on the big screen for the first time since ‘Ra.One’ (2011).

This is definitely an exciting development and no doubt an official announcement will come in good time. Meanwhile, Kapoor Khan will be seen next in ‘Veere Di Wedding’ and Shah Rukh is currently shooting for Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’.
