Karanvir Bohra had recently announced that he would be seen in a remake of Yash Chopra’s ‘Darr’ (1993) on the big screen. Bohra has also confirmed that he would love to meet Shah Rukh Khan, who essayed the role of the iconic lead villain in ‘Darr’, before starting to shoot for his inspired role in the remake.

Bollywood Life quote Bohra as saying, “SRK has been a role model for all of us. We have similar real life image and in my maiden film as a producer I۪d want to reach out to him. The films he did at the onset of his career like ‘Darr’ and ‘Baazigar’ is what I۪m attempting on the big screen. Meeting him will add to my performance in the film.”

Bohra has already been seen performing negative roles in a few television serials, and had won many awards for his role as an obsessive lover in Life OK’s ‘Dil Se Di Dua, Saubhagyavati Bhava’.

The remake is set to be co-produced by Bohra and directed by television director Lalit Mohan. Priya Banerjee has been signed on as the leading lady, to be seen in the role originally essayed by Juhi Chawla.

Shooting for the film is all set to begin in the initial weeks of December.
