Karan Oberoi gets 14 day judicial custody

Television actor-singer Karan Oberoi was arrested on 6th May on rape and extortion charges, and has gotten judicial custody for fourteen days. His third hearing took place on Thursday in Andheri Court where this was announced. Oberoi’s lawyer Dinesh Tiwari will be applying for bail on Friday.

As according to India Today, when arguing the case Tiwari said, “No new development has been shown by the police on which further police custody should be granted. There are discrepancies in the statement in FIR and investigation. Due to these reasons, custody shouldn’t be extended.”

Oberoi has received support from many, including Sudhanshu Pandey and Pooja Bedi.
