Karan Kundrra & Naghma Rizwan in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘It Happened in Calcutta’

Newcomer Naghma Rizwan has been confirmed to star opposite Karan Kundrra in Ekta Kapoor’s new show ‘It Happened In Calcutta’.

Reports say, it took Kapoor over two and a half years to find the suitable match for Kundrra for the show. Rizwan will be playing Kusum, who is in a romance with a college boy Ronobir played by Kundrra.

‘It Happened in Calcutta’ is based amidst the 1960s and the 1970s, and will be following the story of Kusum – who seeks to become a doctor in the city – and her interactions with Ronobir who attends the same medical college.

Kundrra was cited in IndiaToday saying, “Ronobir Chatterjee is a medical college student who is flamboyant, arrogant and a ‘devastatingly’ handsome boy. It’s time to get my strongest flamboyant game on.”

‘It Happened in Calcutta’ will be premiering on ALTBalaji.
