Karan Johar wants to make a same-sex love story

He is one of Bollywood’s most celebrated film makers, making mainstream films for all the family to experience. However, there have been many times where Karan Johar has revealed that he wants to make more films, based on real life. With same-sex relationships becoming legalised in India, it seems Johar has he has revealed he’d like to make a homosexual relationship story.

“Being a leading filmmaker, I can make movies on the subject. I would love to make a homosexual love story and would want to cast two leading actors in the film,” New Indian Express reports Johar stating.

He went on to add, “I don’t have in mind specific names of the actors I want to cast in the film, but want to make such a film.”

With the film industry now full of actors and actresses who are keen on playing bolder roles, it seems there is no time like the present for Johar to make such a film.
