Karan Johar waiting for Ranbir Kapoor for next film?

Karan Johar is planning his next multi-starrer and wants none other than the golden ‘Barfi’ (2012) boy of Bollywood to be part of it.

According to reports, Johar has asked Ranbir Kapoor to play one of the leads in the film but is awaiting a go ahead from the young actor. A source told Times Of India, “Ranbir hasn’t said ‘No’ but has not given his approval either,” said the source. Apparently, Ranbir, who has only worked in single hero projects thus far, after the success of Rockstar and Barfi!, is in two minds about being a part of a multi-hero film.”

“He is taking time to decide. At this point in his career, he prefers working in films that have him in the main lead. Though his role in Karan’s project is very meaty, one cannot discount the fact that Shah Rukh’s presence may overshadow Ranbir’s ,” the source added.

Apparently, Shah Rukh Khan is rumoured to lead the huge project, which is said to be along the lines of ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ (2000). The project is expected to go on the floors by November next year and will fly out of the country next month to finish the script of the film.
