Karan Johar unfollows many on Twitter; now following eight accounts

After the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, a lot of allegations against Karan Johar have been made, who has been accused of nepotism and hypocrisy in the industry.

Over the last few days, anger and abuse has been hurled at Johar over the accusations. Fans have dug out old show clips and articles giving weight to their allegations. Furthermore, Johar along, seven other filmmakers are also facing a criminal complaint by a Bihar based lawyer.

Strangely, Johar, who is known to be active on social media, has decided to unfollow many accounts, including his celebrity friends – Alia Bhatt and Twinkle Khanna. With the way things stand currently, Johar is following just eight accounts – three celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. However, the likes of Bhatt and Khanna are still following Johar.

It was reported on Wednesday that both Johar and Bhatt have lost thousands of followers in the wake of the reports this week. While Johar and Bhatt seemed to dismiss Rajput in an interview of ‘Koffee With Karan’, it also emerged that an old interview of Ayushmann Khurrana, spoke about his experience with Dharma Productions when he was starting off as an actor. The excerpt of that went viral, in which Khurrana was told by the production house, “We only work with stars.”

Rajput’s death is being investigated by Mumbai Police.
