Karan Johar to temporarily replace Kapil Sharma on ‘Comedy Nights’?

Television’s favourite comedian, Kapil Sharma is set to be replaced temporarily by four celebrity hosts so Sharma can recover from his recent back injury.

Karan Johar is said to be one of the four Bollywood stars zeroed in to step in on the popular show. The channel is currently toying with the idea to ensure the new hosts connect well with audiences during Sharma’s absence. The final episode Sharma hosted before his leave, will air this Sunday night.

A source told Mid-Day, “Kapil suffered a slip disc while working out in the gym for Abbas Mustan’s film. He has gone to Van Couver for his treatment and will rest for almost a month after returning to Mumbai. The channel was contemplating if the other characters on Comedy Nights should also be given a break while they work out a fresh concept for the show. However, they eventually decided to run it with the current characters and rope in four big names as hosts.”
