Karan Johar to quit from MAMI film festival board?

After the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, filmmaker Karan Johar was targeted by trolls online, who blamed him for nepotism and hypocrisy in the film industry.

Mumbai Mirror reports that Johar has been upset with his industry friends for not standing by him in the abuse he received from social media users. A few days ago, Johar also removed all but eight people from Twitter he was following.

The report adds that he has allegedly sent his notice to MAMI Film Festival to stand down from his position on the board. The board is also made up of Deepika Padukone, who is chairperson, along with Zoya Akhtar, Kabir Khan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Vikramaditya Motwane and Rohan Sippy.
