Fans of Indian cinema and television possibly have some great news soon to come their way. As per the latest rumours, a group of filmmakers will be joining hands to handle making and marketing their films together. They are also apparently keen to produce content for television. These filmmakers include: Karan Johar, Aamir Khan, Sidharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwwala and Anil Thadani.
A source toldDNA India, “It’s all very hush-hush till now and everything is in the planning… The five (Johar, Khan, Roy Kapur, Screwwala, Thadani) have been regularly meeting at each other’s home to discuss the project. It will be one production house (of the five) and under one banner – and will cover everything from pre and post production work, direction and launching of projects in marketing, publicity, promotion and distribution. The plan is to also produce quality television content.”
The source went on to add that, as the plans are still at a very initial stage, the filmmakers will not be publicly accepting the rumours and “there will be a spate of denials”.
The official announcement is expected by January 2017.
