Karan Johar set to launch his 24th debutant filmmaker under Dharma Productions

Karan Johar is set to introduce his 24th debutant filmmaker under Dharma Productions, marking another milestone for the renowned production house.

Taking to social media, Johar shared his excitement for the upcoming project, describing it as “one of Dharma’s proudest films!”

Reflecting on his journey, the 52-year-old filmmaker wrote, “When I began producing films (once I stepped into Dharma as an active part of the company) in 2003 with ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, the idea was to empower filmmakers and storytellers—to pay it forward. Sometimes we got it right, sometimes we got it wrong, but the intention was always to tell stories we truly believed in. The goal was to entertain, seek acclaim, or simply have fun at the cinema! I’m incredibly proud to say that our next offering will introduce the 24th debutant filmmaker to Hindi cinema. (Trivia for trolls: 90% of them are ‘outsiders’). I rarely write notes before a film’s release, but few projects have excited, energised, and inspired me the way this one has.”

Speculation is already doing the rounds among social media users, with many guessing that the “proudest film” Johar referred to could be ‘Kesari: Chapter 2’.
