Karan Johar

Karan Johar has spoke out about homosexuality on the big screen and said that Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan would have no objections playing gay characters on screen.

Talking at the trailer launch of ‘Aligarh’, Johar was cited in The Express Tribune saying that the three Khans will be happy to play homosexuals on the screen. He replied saying that it mainly depends on the script, if it is good and poignant, they wouldn۪t mind playing such roles.

‘Aligarh’ stars Manoj Bajpayee and is based on the real life incident of Professor Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras (Manoj essays the role) of Aligarh Muslim University, who was terminated from his job because of his sexuality. Rajkummar Rao plays a journalist in the film who is trying to bring his story to the world.
