Karan Johar on Priyanka & Nick’s age gap: “Who cares who’s older than who”

The topic of Priyanka Chopra’s age gap between her and fiancé Nick Jonas has remained quite the talking point in the media. Karan Johar recently shared his point of view of what he thinks of it all.

Reported in the Times Now News, Johar who is a good friend of Chopra’s, was asked about his thoughts of the 10 year age gap between the couple, to which he responded, “Relationship should not be about it. I am very liberal and progressive among these things. I have never thought, ‘Oh, your man should be older than you.’ Why? Why should we say these things? If you find compatibility and you find a relationship of comfort, who cares who’s older than who.”

The film director went on to add, “Who made these rules that the man should be older? Like sometimes I have heard members of my family say things like this. Sometimes, I feel that’s the saving grace of the relationship. Sometimes the maturity that a woman brings to the table, I think it can actually make sure that the relationship has a strong binding. So, I really don’t buy all these things, it doesn’t make sense to me”

From the moment their relationship was made public to getting engaged, both Chopra and Jonas have received mixed responses from the public about their relationship, however they have shown that when it comes to love, age is nothing but a number.
